John finished his latest challenge by arriving in Royal Wootton Bassett just 3 minutes ahead of his self-imposed 24 hour deadline!

John had "hit the wall" when he arrived at Chewton Mendip on Saturday evening, just short of halfway through his trek.  This was propably down to having worn heavy army boots for the first 30 or so miles, and they didn't fit properly!  But a warming bowl (or two) of chips, and a cooling drink or two set him up for the second stint.

With temperatures  at -2C and some unfamiliar roads to contend with, he had a close call finding himself about two hours from target, with 9 miles to go.  The final spurt got him back on schedule - just!  All procedes from the run will go to Help the Heroes.
